If you’re travelling through the Marlborough region, the Marlborough Farmers’ Market is a must for anyone wanting get a taste of authentic local New Zealand produce.
Farmers’ markets are fast becoming a Kiwi phenomenon. With more than 50 operating throughout New Zealand, they provide great insight into the regional heartland and are the perfect place to sample fresh, local food, meet the locals and experience the unique New Zealand way of life.
In order for a farmers’ market to be authentic, each must be a food-only market, produce must come from within a defined local area, and the vendors must have grown or made the food they are selling. This way, you can be sure you’re getting the freshest, most organic NZ food available.
The Marlborough Farmers’ Market runs every Sunday from 9am to 12pm, and every Thursday 2pm to 5pm, rain or shine, at the A&P Park, Alabama Road, Blenheim.
